Burn the Scriptwsg/ Andrew Kuchon & Friends
Saturday, July 26th
If you are a fan of music –be it rock n’ roll, folk, jazz, hip hop, hardcore, or anything in between- then you are going to want to be at CAID on Saturday, July 26th. The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit has been innovative in the past in the way that they’ve delivered culture, art and music to our community, and this event is sure to be nothing short of just that: innovative. This multi-genre show features an up-and-coming hardcore group from Pontiac, MI called, Burn the Script, who -in the short while they’ve been together- has developed a sound that can adequately be described in one simple word: powerful. These kids are serious musicians on a mission to influence the world through the wonderful sounds of their screaming guitars, pounding double-bass pedals and a main vocal that will make you wish you would’ve learned how to scream, the right way. Before them, however, Andrew Kuchon is set to deliver a semi-acoustic performance, which is basically the combination of his love affair with digital music and his acoustic guitar and voice. Andrew derives a lot of his inspiration from older rock bands like the Velvet Underground, the Beatles, etc. and modern hip hop giants like Nas, Big L, Eminem, Canibus, etc. His voice has a wide range of expressions and nuances and his lyrics are deep enough to make you think about things when you otherwise might not look at it that way.
